Sneakerheads took their talents to Titan

Fresh from my coverage of the UAAP Volleyball opener, I went straight to Titan Barbershop to witness the Philippine launch of the Nike Lebron VIII South Beach Edition. I thought I got there late and I'm glad I got there just in time. It's my first Nike event to attend and I had a blast. I actually knew about this launch on such short notice.

The place was packed and the facade of Titan had the palm trees and all. It sure made you feel like you're in South Beach -- sort of. Until it got cloudy.

Sneakerheads lined for a chance to purchase a pair of limited edition LeBrons via raffle. If I had money I probably would've joined the fun. I was only there to cover the event. Getting some free grub and seeing some popular faces there sure made my night complete.

PBA players like Joe Devance and Brandon Cablay of the Alaska Aces were spotted. TV personalities KC Montero and Sarah Meier graced the event. Another familiar face, King Crux of Niketalk was in attendance as well.

Many thanks to Ms. Mae Dichupa of Nike Philippines for giving me the opportunity to cover the launch. She was very nice and I have to admit she's pretty as well. Hope there's more Nike events to come.
