Ravena is still Filoil Player of the Week, SWU’s Sanjo is top Defensive Player

The Filoil Flying V Hanes Premier Cup named its second batch of awardees for the Week of April 22-27.

Based on statistical points, the Master Best Player of the Week is Ateneo’s Kiefer Ravena who chalked up 49 points during the Blue Eagles’ run for that period that saw wins over Letran, the University of the East, and Lyceum of the Philippines University.

Named to the Gatorade Best Five for the same period are Ateneo's Kiefer Ravena, National University’s Ray Parks, Arellano University’s James Forrester and Nard Pinto, and San Sebastian’s Jon Rebollos.

The Gatorade Defensive Player of the Week is Southwestern University’s Landry Sanjo. The 6’7’ Cameroonian collected a total of 33 rebounds to go with a rebound and a block for the week.

SWU ended its maiden stint in the annual summer tournament with a three-game winning streak for a 3-5 record. The Cobras defeated UAAP power UST, 64-63, a couple of weeks ago to hand the Tigers their first loss in three matches.
