The Philippines' finest Jr. NBA ballers

After the regional selections were done last March, the 50 best players were all set for the Jr. NBA National Training Camp. The 3-day camp was the final test for the young ballers to vie for a chance to be a part of the Jr. NBA All Stars and rep the Philippines. The event was graced by NBA Legend AC Green and it was a thrill for the kids to learn from the best.

Top 10 Manila ballers make cut in Jr. NBA Regionals

Basketball fever is still on as kids all over Metro Manila trooped the Xavier Gym in San Juan for the Jr. NBA Camp x Regional Selections last March 26. With the top ballers from Bacolod, Laguna and Visayas all set, the best from Manila/NCR will complete the cast for the Jr. NBA National Training Camp happening on April 9-11. Teens and kids have to go through different challenges if they wanna make the cut to rep Manila.

Coaches get some love in this year's Jr. NBA

With the coaches clinics that tipped off last January was a huge success, the Jr NBA Program has decided to include a Coach of the Year award this year. The players aren't the only ones that are gonna get some recognition, this time around Filipino Mentors have the opportunity to show off their stuff and perhaps be the first ever Jr. NBA Coach of the Year.

NBA Legend AC Green to visit the Philippines for Jr. NBA National Training Camp

The Jr. NBA Clinics are just heating up. And what better way to keep the fire burning is to have an NBA Legend join the fun and spread the gospel of basketball. The question is who? Last year, former Chicago Bulls guard BJ Armstrong graced the Jr. NBA festivities -- which was a huge success, of course. From the East Coast, the West gets to rep and show some love to all the young ballers here in the Philippines. I'm talking about NBA Legend and Iron Man AC Green.

Jr. NBA Clinics dishing more success in the Philippines

The Jr. NBA Clinics in the Phillipines officially began mid-January with the coaches kicking off the NBA style boot camp. The following day, the Bacolod leg of the clinics scored a record breaking attendance. Provinces like Cebu and Laguna have also been successful. More clinics will be conducted as preaching the gospel of basketball continues in the coming days. The Jr. NBA Clinics will run until April.

Jr. NBA 2011 in the Philippines has officially begun

The Philippines will always be basketball country an the popularity of the NBA has grown through the years. A lot of Filipino kids aspire to play pro-ball someday. With the success of Jr. NBA since it began in 2007 in the Philippines, young ballers now have the opportunity to hone their skills once again like their favorite players in the NBA. Young coaches are no exceptions, of course. Hoops mentors from different provinces trooped to the Ynares Sports Complex in Pasig City for the Manila leg of the Jr. NBA Coaches Training camp last January 19.
