On Monday, Gatorade Philippines held an exclusive event for media to launch their new "G" logo. We all know that Gatorade is the leading and most trusted sports drink and it's also being endorsed by non other than the G.O.A.T. himself, Michael Jordan. In line with the launch is also the introduction of Gatorade's newest ambassadors of the brand composed of professional and student athletes. They're simply dubbed as G-Elite and G Rising Stars.
The G-Elite are made up of Azkals mainstays Chieffy Caligdong, brothers Phil and James Younghusband. The PBA stars Calvin Abueva (Alaska Aces), LA Tenorio (Barangay Ginebra) and Triathlete Ani De Leon-Brown complete the list.
Reppin' the UAAP basketball are Juami Tiongson (Ateneo), Jean Mbe (National University), Jeric (UST) and Jeron Teng (La Salle), Henry Asilum (UP), RR Garcia (FEU) and Jericho Cruz (Adamson). Also included are Abi Marano (La Salle), Alyssa Valdez (Ateneo), Mika Reyes (La Salle) and Den-den Lazaro (Ateneo) for Volleyball. In Triathlon, Nikko Huelgas complete the list for G Rising Stars.
There were also some games in the event wherein you can win some cool G premium items and the biggest prize at stake -- an all expenses paid trip to watch the 2014 NBA All-Star game in New Orleans.
It was truly an awesome night for sports.
Many thanks to Gatorade Philippines and Mr. Rick Olivares for the invite.
