Phil was simply focused on getting the job done for his club that celebrating after scoring a goal wasn't even necessary. A 10-nil win was absolutely something to celebrate about but dude was just in the zone that day.
"I think it’s because of the 10th goal," Phil said with a chuckle. "I suppose it’s the game, maybe it’s a bigger celebration."
"But we all congratulate each other and shake each other’s hands. But I think right now we’re just concentrating on the job," explained the Sparks Striker.
In the first half against Cimarron FC, things got heated up. It sure got quite intense, so to speak, that maybe it was one of the reasons why he didn't want to celebrate in the first place. At least, that's all cleared up but for Phil though, emotions will run high if the game got close at the time.
"Usually emotions take over if the games could be closer – emotions could be a lot higher," Younghusband stressed.
With a spot in the Quarterfinals, perhaps we'll see Phil celebrate more when the Sparks go up against rival Global FC on Tuesday, November 26. It's a big game indeed.
"Right now we’re in good position(s). Hopefully our celebrations will be a lot more elaborate and bigger – that means we’ll be winning bigger games," said Phil.
