As season 74 of the UAAP looms closer, many schools have been beefing up their roster here and there. The defending UAAP Champions Ateneo Blue Eagles have made key additions like Keifer Ravena and Greg Slaughter en route for a possible three-peat. While Ateneo have made headlines with those acquisitions, their rival De La Salle University Green Archers got a lot on their sleeves as well.

No, they didn't exactly get a top rookie on their team -- they got someone better. The Green Archers tapped ESPN basketball Analyst and former NBA Player Tim Legler to join their coaching staff. He.Awesome.Is.That.

Ain't no April Fool's joke.

According to Green Archers dot PH, he'll be team's shooting coach:

The De La Salle Green Archers will be enlisting the services of former NBA three-point shootout champion Tim Legler as part of their coaching staff starting next UAAP season. According to team management, Legler will serve as the team’s shooting coach.

Since the Green Archers are one of the best 3-point shooting teams in the UAAP, the addition of Legler will be added boost for their perimeter players including 5th player and Captain Simon Atkins. That's a major, major step in the De La Salle University's Basketball Program.

Oh and he studied in La Salle (in Philly), by the way.

That makes him a certified La Sallian. He'll be flying in to the Philippines next month.

Things are looking up for the Gang Green come season 74 of the UAAP in June.
