Eman Monfort added 4 points for Ateneo ( a free throw and a 3 ball) after Fajardo scored down low. We're all tied up 5 until Eric Salamat took a baseline shot from the arc and they are now up by 8.
Ateneo center Frank Golla gets his own points in the paint, they are now up 10. UC's Luigi Mercede gets called for a foul on Kirk Long. Blue Eagles gets possesion. It's now 10-7. UC zone up on Ateneo as Salva misses his tip and is rebounded by Junemar Fajardo.
Offensive foul on Kirk Long at 4:32 in the quarter. Ball goes back to the Webmasters. Muhammad converts on their possession. Ateneo goes for the attack and Nico Salva scores in the paint. They are now up 12-9
Plays are quick the score is now 16-12 favoring Ateneo. Junemar Fajardo working down low as he gets the bucket and a foul. He will go to the line and shoot a free throw -- and it's an air ball.
2:38 remain in the first. It's now 16-14. Fajardo scores off the Ateneo miss and works again down low. It's now tied at 16. Justin Chua is fouled by Fajardo. Chua makes the first free throw as Fajardo sits. Chua misses his 2nd shot but got the rebound and they still get possession. Start of the 2nd quarter. Alaska coach Tim Cone spotted in the crowd. UC ball. They move the is ball but Ateneo's defense got them. Blue Eagles run but can't score as well. Ball goes back to UC. Escueta fouls Fajardo who's back and shoot's 2 free throws and converts just 1 of 2. Score is 23-17.
Another 3 pointer from Ateneo and it's now 26. Off a UC possession Ateneo giving problems -- shot clock violation on UC. Justine Chua scores another 3 ball Ateneo up 28.
Flash forward to 6 mins (the game is so fast, I have a hard time keeping up), Fajardo gets fouled and he's back on the foul line misses both shots. Ateneo gets the rebound. They cross the halfcourt but another to for Ateneo and ball goes back to UC. Coach Norman Black calls a timeout.
The Webmasters again tries to score but no cigar. Ateneo ball and UC gets it again but looses it goes back to the boys in blue. Dela Cruz checks in as Kirk Long sits for Ateneo. Defense is starting to pick up for both teams but the scoring for UC looked bleak. They haven't scored in the last 2 minutes I think. Blue Eagles score and it's 33-20. 2:54 in the 2nd and there's a timeout.
3 pointer from UC finally its 33-23 but Ateneo scores another 3 and its 36-23. Fajardo scores its now 36-25. We go back and forth and Fajardo again goes back to the line and he was fouled. He gets both this time. TO's killing both teams. UC gets possession. Fajardo asking for the rock down low and he gets fouled again. 10 boards for Fajardo already as he gets both shots good. Score is 36-29. 28 secs left in the quarter.
Salamat goes for a tough shot but can't get it to go with 4 ticks remains. UC gets the ball back as the horn sounded and the end of the 1st half. Ateneo is still up 36-29 over the UC Webmasters.

It's now the 3rd. Ateneo gets a steal from UC. Ateneo try to move the ball but UC gets it back. TO's hurting UC as Ateneo gets the ball back again -- and looses it. UC gets possesion, good ball movement for them a travelling violation on one of their players.
This game is really fast I tell you. It's back and forth action. Fajardo fouls Nico Salva and goes to the line. He misses his first but makes the 2nd.
UC's bigman is too much for the Blue Eagles as scores down low. Score is 39-31. UC ball now. TO for UC as Ateneo goes for the attack. They slow it down. Frank Golla goes for an up and under move and gets hacked. He goes to the line to shoot 2. He makes both free throws. 41-31 is the score.
Possession for UC and gets another TO. Chua goes for a 15 footer and no good -- goes back to UC and they run. 3 pointer for UC and Ateneo calls for timeout. Its 41-24.
I wanna see Fajardo go for a dunk. It hasn't happened yet. Eric Salamat shoots a jumper over the UC big man they are up 43. 4:10 remain in the 3rd. Fajardo scores in the paint to lift his team to 38. TO for Ateneo and it's UC ball again. They go for a 3 but it was an air ball.
Eman Monfort makes a move and scores -- they are up 45. TO again for UC and it goes back to Ateneo. Monfort goes for a 3 but misses rebound goes to UC. Hao shoots and scores UC in 40. Nico Salva scores before the timeout. It's now 47-40.
UC ball Fajardo goes to score but can't convert. Ball goes back to Ateneo. Foul on UC's Cueva still Ateneo ball. 1:23 left in the 3rd as Junemar Fajardo makes his move in the paint -- and one. He misses the foul shot.
Ateneo's Monfort shoots for 3 and makes it. They are up 50. UC's Fajardo gets fouled again. He makes both. They are 43 in the scoreboard.
Kirk long goes for the last shot but misses and it's the end of the 3rd quarter. The score is 50-43.
The last 10 minutes of the game. UC goes for their zone D. Fajardo fouls Chua down low. He goes to the foul line and he makes both. Ateneo up 52. 3 defenders on UC's big man and he gets hacked. Ball back to UC but Fajardo gets called for travelling.
Escueta scores for Ateneo off an easy layup. Fajardo makes an unnecessary foul and the ball goes back to Ateneo. Bakc and forth action as Fajardo again scores for UC. Score is now 54-45.
7:46 remain in the 4th. Justin Chua gets aggresive and scores for Ateneo. They are now up 56.
UC scores on the other side and it's now 56-47. Escueta joins the scoring fun and they are now up 58.
Ateneo now up 62 after scoring in their last two possessions.
5 minutes left in the 4th as Fajardo scores in the paint. Ateneo couldn't score off their possession.
UC ball again. They go down low again to Fajardo but gets another TO. It's back to Ateneo.
Ateneo commits a TO of their own and the ball goes back to UC. TO's again for UC and Emman Monfort took advantage as he scores. 64-49.
Julianne answers with a 3 and they are now 52 and Monfort scores again.
We go back and forth in the possession and the score is now 71-54 thanks to Eric Salamat's 3 ball.
The 6'10" Fajardo fouls out of the game with 1:25 left in the game. Golla scores from his free throws. Score is now 72- 54. More Ateneo free throws coming up and it's Eric Salamat's turn. He gets 1 of 2 shots and it's 73.
Foul on UC again and Nico Salva goes to the line, gets both and it's now 74-54. UC can't score with a few ticks left in the 4th. Ateneo gets the ball, dribbles it off as the horn sounded.
The final score 74-54 favoring the Ateneo Blue Eagles.

The Ateneo Blue Eagles booked themselves a spot in the Philippine Collegiate Champions League Finals as they defend their title of the winner between the De La Salle Green Archers and Adamson University Soaring Falcons.
