The Holiday break somehow helped the Adamson Lady Falcons get back groove back and Coach Dulce Pante is just happy with her team as of late. Heck, who wouldn't be if your team's momentum hasn't changed, right? On the other side of the fence, the UP Lady Fighting Maroons have a lot of questions than answers.
UP has perhaps everything on their team HOWEVA, all the strengths/advantages they have are just not working for them. Could it be chemistry? Not really. Lack of intensity? Maybe. They have yet to break their losing streak and at least, win one in 2011. Lady Maroons Coach Vip Isada should
start working on a Plan B -- fast.
The Lady Maroons got off to a good start in the first set but unforced errors got the best of them. Adamson took advantage of it and won set number 1. Same story for the Lady Falcons in the 2nd set but somehow the Lady Maroons redeemed themselves in the 3rd set to force a 4th set. Like in the 1st set, UP had their momentum for a moment but soon faltered to Adamson 3 sets to nil.
Angela Benting of Adamson was the Player of the Game with 25 points (21 attacks, 2 blocks, 2 serves).
Adamson -- 3 UP -- 1
25-22, 25-14, 22-25, 25-18
Meanwhile Ateneo look to extend their win streak against the struggling FEU Lady Tamaraws. Despite being rookie filled and not won a single game in the tournament, FEU's performance has improved (especially on defense) in the long run.
As expected, the Lady Tams didn't stand a chance and fell to the Lady Blue Eagles 3 sets to nil. FEU had a strong 2nd set in the game but it was clearly not enough to keep up with Ateneo's strong plays.
Player of the Game was Ateneo's Fille Saint Cainglet scoring 14 points (13 attacks, 9 digs).
ADMU -- 3 FEU -- 0
25-14, 25-19, 25-11
