They are no longer the unbeaten Lady Archers via a technicality. Well, at least suffering one loss is better than dropping 4 games, right? On Saturday, DLSU look to add another W to their list. Ironically, the University of the East Lady Warriors were also on the receiving end of the latter and would love to regain some boost in the 2nd round against their Green counterparts.
Evidently, the Lady Archers were somewhat shaking off some cobwebs in the 1st set. Seems as though the issue had some effect on them. Kite Rosale and the Lady Warriors briefly took advantage of the situation and kept the game close. HOWEVA, La Salle finally woke up from that minor setback and won set number 1.
The second set had DLSU's usual game into full swing and dominated UE -- they rally for a 2-0 lead. The Lady Warriors managed to start a run in the 3rd set as Kite Rosale somehow found a loophole on La Salle's defense. It was pretty much like the 1st set though but DLSU would stop UE's scoring surge. Isabella Lepping got some playing time for the Lady Archers and sealed the deal in the 3rd and final set. La Salle defeat the Lady Warriors 3 sets to nil.
Kite Rosale finished with 11 points for UE.
Abigail Marano of DLSU was named Shakey's Player of the Game chalking up 12 points while teammates Jacqui Alarca and Cha Cruz got 11 and 12 points respectively.

The Far Eastern University Lady Tamaraws are pretty much on a roll in the second round. This time, they face the Adamson Lady Falcons whom are also doing quite well in the tournament. It won't be an easy task though for Maica Morada and the rookie filled Lady Tams. With the winning streak going on for FEU, they've put the league on notice that they are to be taken seriously.
FEU got off to a good start in the 1st set as they showed the Lady Falcons they are a different team. FEU took control of the game and somehow Adamson would climb back. The Lady Falcons' Luisa Zapanta suited up for the first time since her ankle injury, was obviously struggling in the game. That might've been one of the reasons why Adamson was having trouble getting their offense (and defense) going. With rookie Kath Magsumbol and vetaran Maica Morada's strong plays, FEU was victorious in the first set.
Same story in the second set, the Lady Falcons still haven't found a way to minimize their unforced errors in the process. It was yet another dominating performance for FEU's Maica Morada and Co. despite Adamson's late scoring run. The Lady Tams take the second set and were looking to sweep the the Lady Falcons.
Adamson Coach Dulce Pante made some adjustments with her team's offense in the 3rd set and it worked like a charm. The momentum has shifted and FEU was now having a hard time keeping up with Adamson. Soon enough, the Lady Falcons easily took the 3rd set. Pau Soriano is finally back to her usual self again. Her attacks was penetrating FEU's defense with ease.
The Lady Tams have another opportunity to finish the game but the Lady Falcon's experience came into play. Same result as the 3rd set as Adamson stormed in for the equalizer and forces a 5th and deciding set.
Unforced errors plagued both teams in the 5th set but the Lady Falcons would rack up more of those than the Lady Tams -- most of them from service attempts. The race to 15 points came as a struggle for Adamson. Rosemarie Vargas and Maica Morada of FEU put their game faces back on and finally vanquished Adamson 3-2.
The Shakey's Player of the Game was FEU's Rosemarie Vargas. She finished with 19 points (13 attacks, 5 blocks and 1 service ace) while teammate and veteran Maica Morada had 17 points (15 attacks and 2 blocks).
