The Petron Blaze Boosters are on a roll. An unexpected hero stepped in to help the Boosters to 75-66 win against the Barako Bull Energy. Denok Miranda lead all scorers with 21 points as he made crucial shots to stop a possible upset from Barako Bull.

Athletic bigman Arwind Santos was in double figures with 15 points while Lordy Tugade added 11 more for the Boosters.

Despite slugging it out with a tough team like Petron Blaze, Willie Miller's efforts wasn't enough to pull an all important win. He finished with 16 points.

The win over Barako Bull put Petron Blaze in the 3rd spot of the standings.

Meanwhile, the Alaska Aces defeated the Powerade Tigers 121-111. Not exactly a good night for the Tigers as they weren't able to rebound from their loss at the hands of the Meralco Bolts last Wednesday.

The Aces took control of the entire game lead by LA Tenorio and Tony Dela Cruz. Both were simply scoring from all cylinders.

Rookies Jvee Casio and Marcio Lassiter did everything they could to salvage an all important win but all was in vain. The Tigers' leading scorer Gary David was shut down by Mac Baracael in the process but was still able to score in double digits.

LA Tenorio and Tony Dela Cruz chalked up 23 points apiece while Baracael chipped in with 22 points for the Aces.

The Tigers' Jvee Casio finished with 26 points. Marcio Lassiter and Gary had 25 and 20 points respectively.

The Powerade Tigers have already 4 straight losses as the Alaska Aces got their 2nd win under coach Joel Banal.
